Welcome to BRIN Research Center
for Quantum Physics

About us

BRIN Research Center for Quantum Physics is a national research center established in 2022 by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), with the main goal of exploring the fundamentals of quantum physics and its applications for (near-) future technology. In the context of Indonesia’s vision to achieve the golden age in 2045, the research center also aims to equip the country with sufficient knowledge and infrastructure for the (second) quantum industrial revolution.

The research center currently consists of five research groups: (1) Theoretical High-Energy Physics Research Group, (2) Experimental High-Energy Physics Research Group, (3) Quantum Matter Theory Research Group, (4) Quantum Simulation Research Group, and (5) Quantum Devices & Technology Research Group. As of April 2023, we have 30 permanent researchers, supported by 1 visiting researcher, 3 postdoctoral (PD) fellows, 16 research assistants (RAs), and a secretary.

We are open to collaboration and are actively recruiting more PD fellows and RAs through the National Talent Management system provided by BRIN. We also accept short visits (less than 6 months) for research exchange and visiting professorship schemes. All such opportunities are available almost anytime (well, actually 2-4 times a year). Please contact quantum at brin dot go dot id for further information.
