BRIN Research Center for Quantum Physics

“Towards QUANTUM REVOLUTION in Indonesia”

About us

BRIN Research Center for Quantum Physics is a national research center established in 2022 by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), with a primary goal of exploring the fundamentals of quantum physics and its applications for (near-)future technology. Anticipating Indonesia’s vision to achieve the golden age in 2045, the research center also aims to equip the country with sufficient knowledge and infrastructure for the (second) quantum industrial revolution.

The research center currently consists of seven research groups: (1) Theoretical High-Energy Physics Research Group, (2) Experimental High-Energy Physics Research Group, (3) Non-Perturbative Physics, (4) Quantum Matter Theory Research Group, (5) Quantum Information and Computation Research Group, (6) Quantum Simulation Research Group, and (7) Quantum Devices & Technology Research Group. As of August 2024, we have 35 full-time/permanent researchers, supported by 4 visiting researchers, 6 postdoctoral (PD) fellows, 26 research assistants (RAs), and 3 secretariat staff.

We are open to collaboration and are actively recruiting more PD fellows and RAs through the National Talent Management system provided by BRIN. We also accept short visits (1-3 months) for research exchange and visiting professorship schemes. All such opportunities are available 2-3 times a year. Please get in touch with quantum at brin dot go dot id for further information. We also have another website in Indonesian: https://brin.go.id/ornm/pusat-riset-fisika-kuantum/page/home-fisika-kuantum (but less updated than the English version you are reading now).
